Having Network Spike on Deco x50 AX3000
Hi, i just bought a Deco x50 AX3000 (3 pack) wifi 6 mesh router to upgrade from my previously owned a Deco M4 routers which worked fine.
When I setup the new routers for the first time, it did a firmware update then restarted, after that I just used the router as normal. I have setup one mesh router to be ethernet backhauled, and the other connected wirelessly (to the main x50)
However to my surprise, i constantly get hiccups on my network, pinging to my other local device or even the router itself would result to ping spikes every 2 or 3 mins, sometimes its not consistent timing, but after the spike it would return to normal. Also trying to do a speed test on anther device would also result other devices to have ping spikes.
I did not expect this from a new wifi 6 dual band router, as this should perform better than my older deco m4.
I tried the following, still did not fix the ping spikes:
- Disabled 2.4 Ghz
- Disabled mesh setting
- Disabled seamless roaming
- Disabled beamforming
- Switched to AP mode
I am running out of options here, these new wifi mesh has only been used for 3 weeks at the time of this post.
TBH I am disappointed as I also own other TP-Link products and has been my go to whenever i have network related needs even recommending it to my friends.
Please help me out what can i do with this, espacially this cost me a lot.
Thanks,
Xeon
