Range Extender Works but computers cannot connect directly to the router.
I bought a TP-Link TL-WA850RE range extender recently.
My true router is set to reset every morning at 3,30 am. Every day i get up and cannot connect to true router directly on my computer. I can however connect to the range extender. On another computer it tries to connect to the true router and gets IP conflict.
If i remove the range extender from the outlet and reboot the router it works fine. So the range extender there is a problem. The True router is set to 192.168.3.1. I set the MAC address in the router to automatically assign ip 192.168.3.110 to the range extender. On the range extender I turned off DHCP.
I read this on your community support but it does not help. True does not know how to fix it as they are not familiar with TP-Link products.
True has already been out on another issue with the fiber line and also replaced the router. They said there is a conflict with the TP-Link range extender but cannot help as they are not familiar with it. I spoke to support on the phone they don't know anything about the correct settings only instructed me to check the warranty. Does anyone have an idea what setting I could try? It seems like something is set wrong.
My only other alternative is to buy one from True. Thank you.
