I have a router and an access point network connected via mesh on WPA2 and roaming is seamless.

 

However, when I switch to WPA2/WPA3 or WPA3 roaming doesn't work seamlessly. 

 

I use a wifi analyzer app to monitor the network. There is a hidden network that is specialized in roaming and it is set to WPA2 even though the main wifi network is set to WPA3. 

 

I think the problem is that wifi roaming isn't upgraded to include WPA3. I have read many threads on the problem.

 

Aren't there any future firmware updates to resolve this issue?

Hi, we confirmed that it is designed like you described. The default encryption is WPA2, which does not change with the changes of the main router's encryption type. 

Please do not worry, WPA2 is also a kind of secure encryption method. We will also log your request and pass it along to the related team.

Is the router you mentioned Archer AX10? 

What is the model number of the access point you mentioned? 

Does your access point support WPA3?

Are they connected via Ethernet cable?

Then we may better understand your situation.

Yes, my router is AX10, my access point is Cudy RE3000, and they both support WPA3 and connected via ethernet.
