Model: Deco M9 Plus

Firmware Version:

Hello,

currently, I have an fiber intern box. On this box, I have a TPLink switch connected with several wire devices. The box is the DHCP with 198.168.1.X range

On same box, I have a Deco M9 network connected. I would like to have same IP range on Deco Wifi than on wire network.

When I setup Deco M9 to work on AP mode, the IP for the Deco is 192.168.10.1 and refuse to access to internet. And IP on wifi device connected to deco are 192.168.10.X.

I thought with AP mode, the DHCP in the box will distribute IP to all devices (wire and wifi) with 192.168.1.X range to haveunified network.

Do you confirm this is possible or not and if it is possible, why it doesn't work ? I do not have any idea where 192.168.10.X range come from as I do not have a DHCP with this range.

thanks

I run Deco mesh with M9 Plus in AP mode, and can confirm it runs the way you expect it to run. What you have is not expected. I can't explain why your Deco mesh behaves that way, but may be able to help you with troubleshooting.

To start, make screenshot of Update Deco page in Deco app and share it here, that will help me understand what Decos you have and with what firmware version(s). Example of screenshot:

OK, this can do. You have latest firmware, which means issues must be somewhere else.

Now to clarify how everything is connected at your place.

1. Main Deco, is it connected to the fiber box or to TP-Link switch?

2. What else is connected directly to the fiber box?

3. Second Ethernet port of Main Deco, is anything connected to it?

4.How many Satellite Deco do you have?

5. Do you have Satellite Deco using Ethernet backhaul or they all connect wirelessly?
