Greetings,

I need some help as I am not well versed on my current setup.

I have an Archer AX55, and I wish to connect to 2 Deco M4, using the LAN method.

Meaning from AX55

LAN 1 to (Deco M4 1),

LAN 2 to (Deco M4 2),

LAN 3 to (VIGI NVR).

First and foremost, can this be achieved?

Secondly, is it possible to have it all under one WiFi name? Meaning anywhere I go it wont disconnect and reconnect to the strongest wifi signal. When I open my wifi list, it will only show one wifi for that setup?

Please advice if possible, if not possible, please share some tips on how to make the best out of the setup.

Thank you and have a great day ahead.

You can connect both M4 directly to Archer, after you configured Deco mesh to run in Access Point mode: Switching a Deco to Access Point (AP) Mode

Archer will not join Deco mesh, even if you configure both Archer and Deco with same SSID/password. For that reason, if using WiFi router (such as Archer) together with Deco mesh, it is recommended to turn off router (Archer) WiFi.

  @Alexandre.

Thank you for the feedback. Really appreciate it.

Nonetheless,

If I change my setup to

BE550 --->

LAN1 to Archer Air R5

LAN 2 to Archer AX55

Will I be able to set it all up under a single wifi?

That would be question for the forum topic where Archer routers discussed.
