X73 DSL failed Firmware update and cannot recover
Hi,
My X73-DSL prompted me through the app that there was a firmware update available. I authorised it to perform the update, but after a while, the internet had not come back. I could not get it to be detected any more, and the internet was not connecting. The app could see the small satellite units, but not the main one.
Tried numerous resets, short press, long press, turn off for 4-5 minutes, etc. as per many other troubleshooting advice on the TP-Link websites.
The modem status LED comes on as yellow, then after some time, turns off, then comes on as red. Turns off again and appears to reboot (ethernet ports flash) Stuck forever in this loop.
I tried the http uboot method to restore firmware, but the PC is not able to connect to the device. Even tried the tftp method (even though not technically for this model) but again, nothing sees the X73 device.
If I power off, hold the reset button, and power on I get a solid green light, but again, nothing happens.
Is there any way to reset this unit back to the blue LED so the app can connect and configure? Is there a way to flash firmware using USB port?
Currently using my old TP-Link modem at 100Mbps to be able to post this message :-)
Thank you
Darren.
