Model: Archer BE550
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: v1.0.9

Hi

Distance from Archer BE550 and my Samsung S24 Ultra Phone is about less than 5 meters with clear line of sight.

Configured MLO (5Ghz and 6Ghz) with dedicated SSID.

Configured 5Ghz with dedicated SSID.

Configured 6Ghz with dedicated SSID.

Samsung S24 Ultra firmware upgraded to latest May 2024.

BE550 was scheduled to reboot everyday.

Tested out the 3 SSIDs using Samsung S24 Ultra, and the signal keeps fluctuating between 2 bars to 3 bars shown on S24 Ultra.

Wifi Signal may disappears or drops in when watching video from Youtube sometimes.

Did a signal scan on my environment and the result shows no congestion on 5Ghz and 6Ghz band.

Please advice what can I do to improve the stability of the Wifi signal from BE550.

* I don't experience frequent signal fluctuation with my previous Wifi 6 router @5Ghz.

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

We need to confirm some information for further analysis.

1. Please share the screenshots of MLO network, 5Ghz network and 6Ghz network from Advanced>>Wireless>>Wireless Settings after logging into the web interface of the router.

2. Is there any wall or door between the router and your Samsung S24 Ultra Phone? It is suggested to move the phone next to the router (about 1 meters away) and test like you did before again.

3. Do you have other clients which support 6Ghz wireless connection? Did you test the network performance on it?

4. If you do not have any other WIFI 7 clients except Samsung phone, please connect your other clients to the 5Ghz wifi band to test the connectivity.

5. Did you update firmware before? Where you get the current firmware version?

Thanks for your cooperation.

Hi, thanks for responding.

1. Please share the screenshots of MLO network, 5Ghz network and 6Ghz network from Advanced>>Wireless>>Wireless Settings after logging into the web interface of the router.

1.

2. Is there any wall or door between the router and your Samsung S24 Ultra Phone? It is suggested to move the phone next to the router (about 1 meters away) and test like you did before again.

==> No wall or door are between the router and S24U. Tested at 1 meter range and able to get full signal bars (4bars) on the S24U but the signal may drop randomly.

3. Do you have other clients which support 6Ghz wireless connection? Did you test the network performance on it?

==> I have no other devices that supports 6Ghz. Noticed that the 6Ghz signal is pretty weak on my S24U (2 signal bar @ 5 m)

4. If you do not have any other WIFI 7 clients except Samsung phone, please connect your other clients to the 5Ghz wifi band to test the connectivity.

==> Tested with other mobile phone (Xiaomi), 5 Ghz connectivity is great. (tested within 1 m and 5 m away). S24U (full Signal bars (4bars) @ 1m and 3 Signal bars @ 5m))

5. Did you update firmware before? Where you get the current firmware version?

==> Updated from 1.0.8 (did a factory reset after upgraded to 1.0.9).  v1.0.9 firmware was downloaded from US TP-link website.

  @Marvin_S

Hi! I'm having similar issues.

Firmware V1.0.9

If I connect with my phone (s24 ultra) to the MLO network, it disconnects and connects every couple of minutes.

I realize that because I was watching youtube, and there was a popup on it saying "back to online".

I made further investigation, and I saw the connection dropped and reconnected on its own.

If I use the wifi 5ghz, there is no issue.
