Deco Network acting as hidden (but settings say it's not)
MY Deco network has performed fine ( 3x M4R extenders hanging of my cable modem throughout the house) until last night it just disappeared.
Network doesn't show up in the Wifi list for any devices. Cannot access it directly via it's SSID. Yet connecting to it through the app on my phone says everything is fine. Mesh units show white lights. Connectivity is good and firmware identical and up to date on all units.
I tried setting up a guest network via the app and that does show up and works. I checked to see if the network was set to hidden and it's not. So I tried toggling the setting to on and saving and it has an error saving. Same with trying to modify anything else in the advanced Wifi - fails to save.
Are my settings corrupted? Any ideas how to fix this other than resetting the whole mesh system and building it again from scratch ?

Hi,
Do you mean that you cannot save the settings when you enable the guest network on Deco units?
Please try following troubleshooting steps besides reset.
1) Please enter the Deco APP > MORE > Wi-Fi settings, double-check your SSID and password, make sure there are no extra spaces at the beginning or end of the password. You can also change SSID for the Deco system.
2) Please try rebooting the main Deco.
If you still cannot find the Deco default WIFI even after you reset Deco units, please contact the local support team to check the warranty for you.

@Sunshine I cannot save the settings on the original network - the guest network can be made and unmade but it is of course still part of the orginal network.
Password and login havne't been changed ad are correct.
All units as stated have been ot oly rebooted but also powered down for 8hrs. No change.
The network exists , says it is working correctly according to the app and M4R units show white lights showing correct internet conection witht base unit. The network however is not visible to any devices.
I will try a hard reset and remake the network. My guess is the settings in the main Deco are corrupt. I believe the correct proceedure is to delete each subsiduary device then reset the main unit.

Hi, Did the main Wi-Fi network start working properly after reset?
I saw a similar post on Deco M4_v2_1.6.2 today.
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/672100
But there hasn't been any new firmware released for M4 recently. I'm also curious about what happened.
Is there any change made to the Mesh system, any new devices, or a new version of the Deco APP upgrade recently?
Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

@David-TP Unfortunately I haven't tried it yet. I haven't had the time and also concerned the entire thing might not comeback properly. Can't afford any downtime at the moment.
So I've been using the guest network I set up in the meantime.
There was a change to the system before it happened - adjustment of parental controls for one user regarding time of day allocation. My guess is this may have corrupted while saving so the settings have corrupted.

Thank you very much for the update.
Maybe you could only reset one of the satellite Deco M4 first, then create a new Mesh network with a different SSID so It will not affect the main Deco and the previous Mesh system.
How to Create a New Network in the Deco App
I don't suppose the parental control modification is related but couldn't think of any other reasons. The engineer is also quite curious what might be the problem so that I would also follow up on your case via email to see whether he could provide further assistance with us.
By the way, could you please also help me submit the Deco APP log here:
Thanks again and Best regards.
