My Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ suddenly cannot detect my Wi-Fi 6 GHz SSID anymore
Hi all,
All of a sudden my Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ cannot detect my Wi-Fi 6 GHz SSID anymore:
- Previously, the Tab S8+ was connected to my Wi-Fi 6 GHz SSID;
- My mobile can detect and connect to the Wi-Fi 6 GHz SSID;
- My Tab S8+ can detect the backhaul Wi-Fi 6 GHz SSID, but obviously cannot connect to it;
- The Wi-Fi 6 GHz SSID is not hidden;
- As a test, I enabled the Wi-Fi 6 GHz guest network - still not visible from the Tab S8+ (but visible from my mobile);
- There are no blocked devices in the Deco system;
- Also, a Wi-Fi Analyzer app on the Tab S8+ doesn't detect the Wi-Fi 6 GHz network/SSID. The same app can detect it on my mobile. The app does detect the backhaul Wi-Fi 6 GHz network/SSID on the Tab S8+.
But interestingly, both my Tab S8+ and mobile (Samsung S23 Ultra) just recently had an update to the Android OS. My Tab S8+ (and mobile) runs:
- Android v14
- Open UI v6.1
- Android security patch level: 1 May 2024
Does anyone know if the Android OS update has a bug? I've read that previous OS versions had bugs like this.
Thanks,
Thomas Birk
