I decided to downgrade my s7 to 1.4.5 and now everything works again. So guys, if you still have problem go for downgrading, it's simple, fast and effective. Of course 1.4.5 has no IOT and other feature of the latest firmware, but at least it works!

Hi, Thanks for the quick reply.
I will escalate your case to the senior engineers first and hope they help us address the issue as soon as possible.
By the way, when the IPV4 address is updated and Deco turns red, would it return to white automatically later or do you need to restart the main Deco S7?
Wait for your reply and best regards.

@David-TP Hello, even if the IPv4 protocol changes, a reboot is necessary for the deco to return to its main white light. Otherwise it continues with its red light

@Stevie812 I've taken the same decision and I think is the best. (Downgrade de deco s7 ) Avoid to upgrade this firmware.

@David-TP Hi David,
I recently downgraded to firmware version 1.4.5, but I’m still experiencing issues with the LEDs turning red even when everything is functioning correctly. Is there a way to download the original factory firmware for version V1.2 (I believe it was version 1.4.1, which was much more stable than the newer versions)?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, Thanks for the update.
The first time I received the red light feedback, it was on 1.4.5 so I don't think 1.4.1 would help.
But you could revert from 1.4.5 directly to 1.4.1 if you want to try.
Dec S7 V1 and V1.2 shared the same download link of 1.4.1: Deco S7_1.4.1
By the way, have you tried the latest 1.5.1_build20240711 beta(in the recommended solution on the first page)? Since it is the latest beta firmware so far, I hope you can try to install this version first.
Best regards.

@Rod123 I'm going to be very honest that LED does not influence usability at all and I have gone through this several times. I believe that reversing firmware is not ideal. In my case I decided simply by leaving the main one with no cable connected and restarting and then doing the same with the satellites.

I figured I would jump in here and add that my network has become unstable since updating to the 1.5.0 firmware on my S7's. My wife is now complaining on a daily basis and I'm getting very close to ripping it all out and buying something that works as I can't take the ear ache.
Devices just randomly lose connection for a few seconds every couple of minutes, tried all of the usual stuff that I do when I get an issue with deco, reboot, reoptimise etc and nothing appears to be working.
My network is a mix of S7s and S4s, it would appear the issues are with the S7s as my children haven't mentioned anything and the S4s serve the upstairs.
In attempt to resolve the issue I rolled forward to the beta version 1.5.1 on the S7s and beta version 1.6.1 on the S4s but the problem persists.

Given all the problems exposed here, I practically had them all after updating to 1.5. I continue to follow and wait for a definitive solution, as the solutions are increasingly leaving us dissatisfied.

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.
Could you please send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com with the following details:
1. Please save a copy of the system log from the web UI. (Please do not reboot Deco before saving the system logs!)
2. Is Deco S7 working on "Wireless router mode" or "Access Point mode"?
- Can I have a picture of the current network topology so that we can find how Deco units are connected together, such as:
3. What are the model numbers of the devices that frequently drop the internet connection?
Wait for your reply and best regards.
