Model: Deco BE65
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.7 Build 20240322 Rel. 57053

My Galaxy Fold 4 can only connect to the MLO / 6Ghz network. If I try to connect to the 2.4/5Ghz network, I get "connection failed" or "failed to connect to network."

My S24 Ultra, seems to work fine across as do other devices.

I can connect only without encryption. This is frustrating as the 6ghz network seems to degrade heavily.

What I've tried:

1. Forget network and re-connect.

2. Use phone MAC instead of randomised mac.

3. Rebooting main mesh and nodes

4. Changing the password of each

5. Connecting to SSID manually

6. Changing the channel width

7. Turn off 5ghz or 2.4ghz and trying again

8. Changing encryption protocol (only no encryption works)

9. Turned off all band steering

10. Disabled fast roaming

11. Rebooting phone

12. Blacklisting and un-blacklisting

Below are a copy of the logs of me attempting to connect, then failing, then re-connecting to the 6ghz.

Hi David,

Thanks for the response. To answer your question, yes.

But this has now been resolved.

I originally set up the main unit with my Fold 4, and when connecting the meshes and renaming the network something broke. I had the above issues constantly.

I simply reset all the nodes and main Deco and reset my network, which fixed all the issues. I used the same SSID and password which meant I did not need to reconnect my other devices. I think it was something to do with the device being authenticated already but trying to connect with the wrong password which is why no encryption worked. Perhaps this bug is something to look into?

All working great now!

  @MoCash21

Hi, Thank you very much for your time and patience.

Are you able to constantly reproduce this issue on the Galaxy Fold 4?

---It is also suggested to contact Samsung support to see if there is a new software version available for an upgrade.

If we enable a Guest network for 5GHz only with another SSID, will Galaxy Fold 4 be able to make a connection?

In the meantime, I will also follow up on your case via email and check with the senior engineers whether they have any other suggestions.

Please check whether you could receive my email.

Thank you again and Best regards.
