Hi,

TP-Link modem/router requires 12V DC power supply. I assume this is a nominal figure.  I would like to buy a battery bank or rechargeable batteries to power the router during power outage.

However rechargeable batteries can not provide continuous 12V output.

What is the voltage range the router will tolerate and work?

Hi, thanks for posting question on our community.

May I confirm the model and hardware of your TP-Link modem/router? And the country version?

Hi,

Thanks for responding.

It is an Australian model for TPG/iiNET  providers -  VX420-G2h  (AX5400). Hybrid Wi-Fi 6 Modem Router.  It has a SIM for 4g backup when the cable signal is not present.

But my question is universal.  The power adapter output is nominal 12 V,   but obviously there is a minimum and maximum at which the device will stop working.
