  @ChrisBS Hi, the app looks super useful. May I ask what it is? Also, I believe the numbers on paper are theoretical values, or maybe got measured like 1mm away from the antennas. Still, the 3-4 dBm loss seems like a lot if you measured them literally by the router.

  @karunsiri

Hello, this is "WiFiman" app for android. Router when connected to device telling to device what is transmit power of his antennas. That not depends of range, and how far you connected. On green (-dBM) that depends of range and other values. but i measure always 2m  line of sight.

TP-link engineers really need to do optimalization because is so many errors in code inside firmware. I tested two firmware (official one and beta one) and i had different signal measures on them. On beta firmware 6Ghz become little stronger but 5Ghz become weaker but anyway i keep it because works there OFDMA + MU-MIMO and connection become more stable by WiFi. All my test what i do for now, BE550 works only OK with intel WifI cards but still signal coverage is weaker than AX55 :(

I still waiting when engineers send me a new firmware to test out again everything once again.

  @ChrisBS I'm also seeing the same thing on firmware 1.0.9. You're right, the spec sheet says otherwise.

  @karunsiri

 ENGINERS write me that show only transmit but spec its with  Transmit Power + Antenna Gain.
 Olso write me the antenna gain for the 2.4G, it's 2dB, for the 5G and 6G, it's 3dB. So in theroy should meet spec.
But from my test AX55 has better signal than BE550 on my devices anyway.

  @karunsiri
Can you check from 2m distances from router which -dBm you will get on every band?  And if is possible, can switch to my config while you testing?

  @ChrisBS

I got a BE550 in Japan and set it up in my house (two floors, 50 meters square each).

I also have a Sony modem (nsd-g1000t), equipped with a reliable WIFI6 wireless router function, which was provided by my internet provider.

After I got the BE550, I found the signal coverage is not as strong as the Sony one.

NSD-G1000T
(location at 1/F)
I can get a stable WIFI signal in all of my rooms at 2/F with my iphone 14pro
BE550
Same location as above

Hardware: V1
Firmware: 1.0.8
Couldn't get stable WIFI signal at 1 of the farthest room at 2/F my iphone 14pro

I expected better WIFI coverage or at least on par with the modem router I got.

The BE550 definitely gives a weaker WIFI signal, which is very frustrating since this is not a cheap product.

Lucky I got an old Buffalo WIFI router which also has EasyMech, but it only support up to WIFI6, not WIFI6E

Hi, When you are using NSD-G1000T and Archer BE550, and you put the iPhone 14 pro to test in the farthest room at 2/F, did you connect the phone to 2.4GHz wi-fi band of the tw routers respectively? If not, can you test like this? And it is also suggested to test 5GHz and 6GHz wi--fi band.

Can you share any screenshots to show the signal strength received by the phone?

I got xe75, be550 and eero pro 6e. By testing all three eero does better job than xe75 on their respective default setup. xe75 and be550 would stay on lower channel on 5ghz but those channel were congested. Both were on auto channel. When I do Speedtest on xe75 I would get low throughput of 300 on 1gig up and down plan. This test is next to the router. This also apply on be550 with auto channel. Eero pro 6e with its default setting will keep changing channel to most clearest one. Speed test on eero next to it will get me 600 to 700, I don’t know why tp link doesn’t pick high channel like eero to get better wifi. I have not seen either xe75 or be550 pick high channel like 100. It always stuck on 36 and 40 where those channels are congested.

  I am currently using BE550 V1 with beta firmware 1.999. Previously use 1.07.. MLO channel for disconnected after few hrs and can't go back. Now testing the beta firmware. I find that need to set channel 69 for 6ghz to get the most stable and fastest speed. However the MLO channel still disconnect and connect randomly when switching between 5ghz only, 5ghz+6ghz, or 6ghz only..

MLO(5ghz+6ghz) speedtest is always lower then only 6ghz.. Tplink.. The product already launched since long ago and still so many bugs... MLO is fake.. Is not 5ghz + 6ghz bandwith but either 6ghz or 5ghz..tplink pls buck up.
