Managed vs unmanaged switches
Managed vs unmanaged switches
Hi everybody
Now i use managed switches (Netgear GS308e) between several deco units (XE75-X50-M5) i always notice some weard problems i can not explain in network and deco app.
I know i have to set a Vlan, but i think it is easier to use an unmanaged switch?
Can i use unmanaged (Netgear GS108) in stead? Or which unmanaged TP-Link switch should be best?
My setup:
ISP Modem (bridged) ->Deco XE75 (router mode)-> Netgear managed switch->>> 3x Deco X50/M5
(Ps not shure of hardware versions deco's)
Yhanks for your advice!

@David-TP Since you still have not react to my question above, i will try to answer some myself.
I tried again to switch main deco from my only V2 version to one of the 3 V1 version. Again i could get no internet on it.
Now i disconnect all and reset 1 V1 version and start new installation by TP procedure on a different TP account.
And again, no internet! This time i decided to go on with settings and i would see where it ends. Right after i entert my standard Lan ip 192.169.178.1 i was online again 🥳
At least this is strange......
After this i resetted remaining deco's and began installing the two other V1's. after this i installed the former main V2 version.
connected cable to switch and set wifi as mentioned in my seperate SSD topic.
2.4 iot
5 main

All runs wel now, app feels smoother and biggest change is until now i have not seen loose of connection from satellite deco's.
Normally i see this almost everytine when i open app, first i had to refresh several times before all showed: connected.
So again, you tell me!?
kind regards.
