Model: TL-WA850RE
Hardware Version: V7
Firmware Version: 1.0.12 Build 221109

I recently purchased the TP Link Wifi Range Extender TL-WA850RE. But by mistake I have installed an outdated firmware thinking that I am actually updating it. My device came with firmware version 1.0.12 Build 221109. Unfortunately, after the update the firmware version is now 1.0.10 Build 211117.

Outdated firmware poses security risks and can have many vulnerabilities. So I am very much skeptical now to use the product. I cannot find latest firmware on the TP Link website https://www.tp-link.com/in/support/download/tl-wa850re/v7/#Firmware and it contains list of old firmware only.

While the device was updating, I managed to take screenshot of the firmware version with which it was shipped and that is the only evidence that I have now. Refer the screenshot for reference.

Mode: TL-WA850RE(IN)

Ver: 7.28

If possible please provide me the link to latest firmware or help me understand why it is like this. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Subhadeep

Resolve the issue by downloading the latest firmware from TP Link Global Download Center. https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/. Its very stupid thing that they have not listed it country specific firmware list.
