Model: RE450
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.0.1 Build 20190124 Rel. 56886

While using the RE450, I experience brief and major cut outs with my computer.

My router is connected wirelessly to the RE450 and will get great speeds when connected wireless, however when connecting my computer the connect seems unstable and cuts out for brief periods during everday use.

A different experience I've had is when the connection completely disconnects and either reconnects eventually or I am forced to restart the extender manually to the regain connection.

Solutions that I have already tried:

- Disabling the 2.4Ghz so that the extender only transmits 5Ghz wirelessly, this didnt affect the internet speeds but made the cut outs more frequent

- Disabling the 5Ghz extension which left me with roughly 60-80mbs download compared to my 340+mbs with both enabled

- Enabling high speed mode, and tested both automatic and manual options to see if there was a difference.. there wasnt

- Changing the Wifi Coverage option which also just decreased my overall mbs download

I'm unsure what else to try with my limited knowledge with wifi and extenders.

  @Critch0

Update your RE450 FW to its latest release - here. You should reset and reconfigure the RE after this update.

Then go through this article for placing your RE for optimal reception and performance.
