Model: Archer C7
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 2

Is it possible to access my Mobil phone (EE) signal in emergency i.e Cable connection is down.

Does the C7 have this built in? or would I need a USB modem.

Archer C7 v2 supports WDS bridging which you could use with your smart phone hotspot in emergency situations like described.

Just test it to check if that works for you - here's how to configure.

  @SteveGG

Hi

No sorry if I understand correctly that's not what I want to do, my phone/s are already WiFi Clients of the C7,  I dont have another router.

I want the C7 to be able to access the internet via the 4G signal of my Phones Network (EE)  so my WiFi continues to work if my Cable Modem (Virgin Media) goes offline.

Cheers

Steve

That's exactly what I've meant. Using your phone 4G mobile network as a hotspot and connect C7 via WDS to your phone wi-fi.
