I'm attempting to directly connect my TP-Link Deco XE75 to my Deutsche Glasfaser ONT, without using an intermediary ISP-provided router.

Presently, I don't have any router connected to the ONT. When I try to set up the Deco with the default settings, it gives me an orange light, indicating that it's unable to establish a connection.

Does anyone have experience with a direct setup between a TP-Link Deco unit and a Deutsche Glasfaser ONT? I suspect there might be specific settings or configurations that I need to adjust for this to work. Any advice on how to successfully configure my Deco XE75 to work directly with the ONT would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, what internet connection did you choose Deco XE75 during the set-up? Dynamic IP?

I checked the user manual "for your own router" and it takes Fritz Box as an example and doesn't mention any additional configurations here:

Someone mentioned here DG has regionally different requirements, depending on the age of their deployment. For some users, VLAN tagging is required for internet service.

Have you ever checked with DG about what you need to do if you plan to use your own router?
