Deco X50 update issues
I have two sets of identical Deco hardware at two different locations. Both are hardware v1.2. One set upgraded itself from firmware 1.1.0 Build 20230522 to 1.2.0 Build 20231229, and it's working great. The other set is stuck at 1.1.0, and no amount of checking for updates changes that it says it's up to date. To make it even more confusing, the manual download page only offers v1.1.0, with no mention of 1.2.0. This is despite it having a build date of nearly 3 months ago! Has 1.2.0 been pulled for some reason? Or is the update process really just this bad?

Hi, the 1.2.0 is still in releasing process. The firmware upgrade is applied in sequence to the correct devices(according to the MAC address) during the release process. So not all devices get the new firmware notification in the first place.
You could wait for a while. Or if you wish to update all Deco X50_V1.2 to 1.2.0, you could manually download 1.2.0 and upload via web interface:

How to Update the Firmware of Deco (method 2)
Thank you very much and best regards.

@David-TP as I said in my post, the "download firmware" page only shows v1.1.0, with no mention of v1.2.0. Maybe because I'm not in the region you expect me to be in, but surely if my devices are receiving the firmware, it would also be available on the download page?

Hi, sorry and it seems like the local AU/NZ site hasn't uploaded the 1.2.0 version.
The local technical support team will take charge of the firmware uploading and other product manuals.Occasionally there might be a delay. especially at the first stage of a new firmware release.
The US/EU versions share the same download link. When uploading the firmware, it would automatically adapt to the suitable hardware.
You could try to download the 1.2.0 from the support/en(us) sites.
Best regards.

@David-TP Thanks, that has worked. I checked the labels on both sets of devices, and they're both labeled (US). There's not a hardware v1.2 listed under the US firmware, but there is under the EU firmware. This build exactly matched the one installed on my set already running 1.2.0, so I installed that on my second set running 1.1.0 and it has upgraded successfully. The whole "different firmware per region" thing is really confusing in a place that often gets sent stock from various parts of the world, so we have no idea whether it came from AU, EU, US, or somewhere else, and it's often mixed and matched. Why not just have one firmware that asks or determines the correct region and adjust its settings as appropriate?
