wifi connection issues
We recently had our internet upgraded to a 4G network and we are having trouble connecting via wifi between router and TP Link.
If i connect an ethernet cable from the TP Link box to thye router i can pick up the TP Link via Wifi. If i discoonect the Ethernet cable i can no longer pick up the TP Link via WIfi.

Hi, when using TP-Link powerline devices, you need to connect a powerline adapter to your router via Ethernet cable, and then connect other client devices to another powerline extender via either WiFi or wired connection.
If there is any further issue, please let us know the detailed topology of your network and also LED status on the powerline devices.

@Sunshine Thanks for your prompt response.
The configuration you suggested was tried yesterday. But correct me if i am wrong.
1. Ethernet connection between Router and Extender.
2. Ethernet connection between Adapter and Router.
These were all set up within feet of each other.
result: Wireless connection between Laptop and Extender was reached when Ethernet cable was connected only. Connection was lost when Ethernet cable was detached from router. I will try again today and forward the LED display info.
Thanks.

@Sunshine I have connected everything as you suggested and i have a orange light on the "Orange" adapter. All the lights are on, on the Extender except the second from the bottom on the TL WPA7510 model.

Hi,
There should be no orange/red light when everything is connected within a few feet, only green lights (or no light).
What is the status of the "Powerline" light on both adapters (the smaller TL-PA7010 and the bigger TL-WPA7510)? The Powerline light is the one labelled with the pictogram.
If not both Powerline lights are green when both adapters are only a few feet apart from each other, then something fundamental is not right. If that was the case, then you might want to "Reset" (small recessed button) both adapters and then try again.

Hi, as woozle mentioned, please check if powerline light are both on on the powerline adapter and also extender.
Besides, normally you only need to connect powerline adapter to the router via Ethernet cable, the powerline extender should communicate with powerline adapter via powerline after they are paired with each other(powerline light on).

@woozle Hi thanks for your response. So to make things a little clearer i am using an Orange (network comapny name) brand repeater NOT TP link. I am using the TP Link TL-WPA 7510 extender. The constant orange light being on the Repeater i think is normal for that unit if it is functioning properly. It doesnt have a "powerline" Icon as you decribed and i think they use a circle and that is where the orange light is on on that unit.
The powerline icon has never been on i don't even rember it bein on when the unit was functioning properly befroen the upgrade to be perefctly honest ,a s we get power outages in myb area quite often and i nhave needed to resset the unit and that light i cannot remember ever being on.
I have today reset both units and still no powerline connection on te TP LINK.
On a side note. The internet installation guy called last night to check if everything was running ok and we mentioned our extender was not working since the upgrade. He ran a test and saw that everything that was on the network including the Orange extender, the TP LINK box the only thing that didn't come up.

There are only two ways a TL-WPA7510 could work.
Either is has a functioning "Powerline" connection via the electric circuit of the building or it is connected via Ethernet cable to another device like a router or access point.
If the "Powerline" light was never ON before on the TL-WPA7510, but it was still working fine, then it means in the past it should have been connected via an Ethernet cable to the network.
By the way, do you have any additional information about that "Orange" device? Maybe it has a sticker with some information on its bottom side or if you have a link to a webpage on the Internet that shows the device?

This is the Orange repeater.
Prior to the upgrade the units were never connected by Ethernet cable.
Is there maybe some IP address not corresponding between the Orange repeater and TP Link extender?
If so, i would i go about changing that?
The strange thing is, is that the network of the extender shows up in the wifi options. When i click on it with a device the wifi icon on the device shows full bars like its connected, but won't load a page.

As far as I can tell that Orange repeater is just a Wi-Fi repeater, it doesn't support Powerline.
I am really puzzled how you ever got an Internet connection through the TL-WPA7510 if there was no Ethernet cable attached to it.
How did you actually get hold of that TP-Link TL-WPA7510 Powerline adapter? I mean, when you bought it did you only get the sole TL-WPA7510 device or was there another smaller device in the box as well?
Was there any hardware replaced when your Internet was upgraded?
