Mixing G.hn 2400 with TL-PA8033PKIT AV1300 - is it ok to do?
I've just purchased G.hn 2400 powerline extenders (no wifi) and already have a set of TL-PA8033PKIT AV1300 powerline adapters. They both work fine when setup with Sky Q boxes (wifi turned off) going through the older AV network and the gaming PC going through the new G.hn 2400 networks. Done to make most of upgraded home fibre to 1Gb. However, though works fine usually/sometimes, it can drop out with both the Sky boxes freezing-jumping and the gaming PC showing a high download speed test of 80Mbs and dropping down to 0.2 while the test is running (speed test was 30Mbs on the old AV network for the gaming PC). The green LEDS are all on on all adapters, so connection remains, just s-l-o-w.
I assumed each powerline created it's own network that was independent of the other. So the AV can share Sky-Q boxes as I have 4 of those adapters and the G.hn just goes straight from the faming PC to router (via the powerline). Understand devices on the AV network can't be seen/shared with those on the G.hn one and vice-versa, which is fine for my setup.
Is my assumption correct - it is ok to have both the old AV and new G.hn on the same network? If so, any reason for the dropouts and huge degradation in speed? Anything I can do to improve the performance?
If not, then guess I have to get all AV or all G.hn, which seems a waste of the ones I won't use.
Thanks for any help.
