Suitable pass-through wi-fi booster for use with WPA8630 powerline
What is a suitable pass-through wi-fi booster for use with WPA8630 powerline? With the impending change from copper to internet phone systems (UK), I need to add a number of powerline units to my home network. In two cases, a wi-fi booster will suffice, but they need to be pass-through. Any ideas?

TP-Link doesn't sell any Powerline adapters without Ethernet port(s).
The main differentiator that affects the price is the speed rating. Unless you happen to come across any price promotions the slowest devices are the cheapest and as the speed goes up the price goes up.
You can check out TP-Link's products website and compare the available options by yourself. And if you switch to the localized TP-Link webpage made for your country, then you should only see the products that are available at your place.
Anyway, if I am not mistaken the TL-WPA8630P and the TL-WPA8631P are the only two Wi-Fi-enabled Powerline adapters that also have a pass-through power socket.

Hi,
The TL-WPA8630P is the model with the pass-through power socket and the TL-WPA8630 is without. Otherwise they are the same. Is that what you mean?

Thanks for your prompt help.
I was looking for a unit that only has wi-fi, (without Ethernet sockets), to add to the WPA8630 pair, to extend the signal into a room where it isn't so good. As the room has a single power socket, it has to be a pass-through type. I assume a wi-fi only unit would be slightly cheaper than the Ethernet-enabled ones.
Thanks

Woozle
Thanks again for your input.
I'll do as you suggest and look through the product pages. It's a shame the phone system is changing, as it's a real faff that means an intrusive router and cabling in a 'clean' hallway, and either rewiring, with unattractive cable trunking all over the house, or a series of adapters in different rooms (older tech that isn't fully wi-fi enabled), as well as ditching decent phones for DECT.
Price of progress I suppose.
Thanks again
