Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.4

I have a house and a garage that are approximately 60 meters apart. In the house, I have 2 x Deco BE65 units set up in a mesh network. I’d like to have Wi-Fi coverage in my garage, but without the need to bury a network cable. Is it possible to set up a Deco X50 Outdoor and connect it wirelessly to my indoor mesh network using one or two Wi-Fi range extenders, such as an RE815XE?

I can use a network cable between the BE65 and an RE815XE, and similarly between the Deco X50 and an RE815XE. My question is whether it’s necessary to have a Deco X50 in the garage, or if it would suffice to use just an RE815XE for Wi-Fi coverage in the garage?

  @S_Skovsen

Hi, Welcome to the community.

I don't think RE815XE would be a good suggestion.

Have you tried powerline adapters before? such as the following topology:

Internet service---first main BE65----<WiFi>----2nd satellite BE65---<cable>--plc1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~plc2---<cable>---Deco X50-out

https://www.tp-link.com/en/home-networking/powerline/

such as a pair of PG2400P KIT

Although RE815XE supports 6GHz as well, Deco series could not create a unite Mesh system with EasyMesh extenders.

Can Deco Mesh, OneMesh, EasyMesh and Omada Mesh products work together?

Best regards.

  @David-TP HELLO!

I am new to TP Link but excited to get my new system installed.  Last night I was trying to get my new BE85 to connect with my an AXE815XE and could not get it to work.  I can't find a compatibility list anywhere so I was wondering if I could get some help.  Thanks
