Hello. I recently purchased a TP-Link Deco AXE5300 Wi-Fi 6E mesh router system. I used my old SSID and all devices easily connected except for my Nest Battery-Operated Doorbell. The doorbell can't find any new network. The camera's specs say the 2.4GHz band should be set to 802.11/b/g/n. I am not sure how to change this setting.

I have tried:

  • Factory resetting the doorbell
  • Creating a 2.4GHz IoT network
  • Confirming network security is WPA2
  • Disabling beamforming and fast roaming
  • Logging into http://tplinkmodem.net to access advanced settings. I am not recognized as on a TP-link system even when directly plugged into the satellite via ethernet.
  • Logging into http://tplinkdeco.net/  I am unable to find advanced settings beyond what I have in the Deco app.

Please help me think of what else to try.

  @LakeDesire

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

When you enable the 2.4GHz IOT network, is the Nest doorbell able to detect the new IOT SSID? or it can detect the new IOT network but still fail to get connected?

If it failed to connect, would there be any error message?

How about a 2.4GHz guest network(still under WPA)?

Wait for your reply and best regards.
