Model: TL-WPA4220 KIT
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I've got an AV600 Powerline kit (TL-PA4010 adapter & TL-WPA4220 extender). This is working great, but I've a little corner of the house where signal drops.

I spotted an AC750 extender ("TP-Link RE200 (UK) AC750 Dual Band wifi Range Extender in a 2nd hand electronics shop and I want to check whether there would be any issues with adding this to my existing AV600.

From what I've read I think it should be ok, but I don't know a lot about the technology and I wanted to check with those that do.

Sorry, I don't know how to find hardware & firmare info, can't see it on tpPLC app.

Much Thanks

AllanM

You could use the http://tplinkplc.net to open the PLC web management page and check the HW and FW versions.

Adding a range extender to your wireless network shouldn't be a problem.

Just a reminder, the RE200 is a WiFi range extender and it could connect to your main router wirelessly to expand its WiFi range, but it is not powerline devices, thus it will not pair with your existing powerline adapter/extender, and cannot be managed via tpPLC App. You should use Tether App to manage the RE200.

Thanks both,

I didn't realise the powerline/range extender distinction. So that's helpful information.
