Connecting Deco PX50 to a TL-WR940N modem router

Hi,
I am considering a PX50 setup to get better WIFI coverage. At present I have a TP-Link TL-WR940N wi-fi router/modem that is distributing a wi-fi signal. Can I just plug the PX50 in to that? If so, do I have to change any settings on the TL-WR940N? It seems strange to have a wi-fi device connected to another wi-fi device via an Ethernet cable. I have the option to turn off Wifi signal on the TL-WR940N. Will that suffice?

You can plug Main Deco PX50 to TL-WR940N.
When doing initial configuration of Main Deco, select "Dynamic IP" type of connection. This will force Main Deco PX50 connect to TL-WR940N just like any networking device such as PC will: Main Deco will request IP address from TL-WR940N and should gain Internet access.
The only change you would need to do on TL-WR940N is to turn off its WiFi signal. Deco mesh will provide WiFi coverage.
Because you have router (TL-WR940N), it is recommended to run Deco mesh in Access Point mode: Switching a Deco to Access Point (AP) Mode. You can do that after you have Main Deco online.

That would depend on the total number of PX50. How many Deco PX50 do you plan to buy?

This should work. Three Deco PX50 will create WiFi mesh, and when you add more PX50s they will join your Deco mesh.

Also, I just checked TL-WR940N and it is generic WiFi router with Ethernet WAN port. It must be connected to something that links it to your ISP Internet. Do you have ISP provided modem to which TL-WR940N is connected?
Because, if you do, you could ditch TL-WR940N completely and run your home WiFi and wired network on Deco PX50s only.

@Alexandre. The TL-WR940N wifi router is also a modem (ISP provided and has ISP credentials inside its settings) and is the first device that ethernet reaches from the receiver (WIMAX). I would like to remove this router but the ISP needs it and I don't think they'll configure a router they don't provide :(
