Beta Software Deco M4/S4_V2 Support Connection Preference

1. Please be sure you have read the Terms and Conditions for TP-Link Beta Firmware before proceeding.
2. For Deco M4_V2, the firmware downgrade(back to the official 1.5.8 version) needs to be implemented via firmware recovery.
3. For Deco S4_V2, it would revert to the official 1.5.1 directly via web UI.
4. How to update the firmware via web UI.

Hey all - does anyone have any good experiences with this beta firmware for the M4R? I currently have v1.6.5 installed but cannot select a preferred sattelite for one of my IoT devices and this is causing errors. So looking to see if it would make sense to try this beta software fireware update.

@R2Drew2 So 1.6.5 does'nt support connection preference option? And im using this beta firmware 1.7.0 on Deco M4 since many months but im using my Deco in AP Mode because Router Mode has some issues for me related to WAN ip address but AP Mode is working fine. I think you can try this beta firmware and if u want to go back to 1.6.5 so u have to use recovery mode and install the 1.6.5 firmware by using PC or Laptop.

@ARGamingPK1 I updated it indeed to v1.7.0 manually in the webportal. I rebooted my system twice and now I can succesfully force certain devices to use a specific mesh unit. So works like a charm for me!

@Ivan_Mitov @ARGamingPK1 Just got the 1.6.5 firmware (through the app). Still not showing up in TP-Link website.
Other than "improved overall stability" and "fixed some bugs", it also says "after installing, this Deco cannot be downgraded to previous version" (or something like that)
No visible changes, besides the "Wi-Fi settings" page being complicated now for no reason.

Hi, I was also looking for a screenshot of the WiFi setting page. By the way, the 1.6.5 could be downloaded to the official 1.6.2 directly via web UI.
