Hi, I'm afraid the 1.7.0 beta is for Deco M4_V2 only. Best regards.

@David-TP thank you for your response. In my house i have a mesh network from two V2's and two V3's M4R Deco. If i install the beta firmware to the V2's , the connection preference will be available to all of my Deco units?

Is there any eta on when tis feature will be added to the normal firmware and no longer be in beta?
Because if this is added to the normal update stream then i can be sure that it qill not cause any issues with bugging out and can safely buy another m4 to finally replace the last deco in my mesh that doesn't support this feature

Time to face the music, TP-Link have moved on from this model. It's over. Time to buy something else. Won't go near TP-Link again. Been poor performance since day one.

@David-TP Why Connection Preference does'nt work sometime? When i force devices to keep connect on specific deco or specific band why my devices keep connected on unselected Deco's ? I have forced my phone to connect on 5 GHz band but my phone is connected on 2.4 GHz band...Why?

First post here after I've browsed quickly through all this thread. I've got a mesh consisting of a bunch of M4 V4's running the latest stable version, which I think should support client connection preference. I also have a M4 V2 in the network, running 1.6.2.. The connection preference option does not appear on any Deco and I assume that's because of that V2, so (again) I assume I'll have to upgrade it to 1.7.0.
But the web UI upgrade method does not seem to be able to select a specific Deco for upgrade. Trying to run 1.7.0 upgrade obviously failed. May I please ask if I have to turn off all V4's first and isolate the V2 only so that I can hopefully upgrade it to 1.7.0 via web UI?
Thanks!
