@David-TP

I get an reply from the Deco team that are investigating the issue with a question about the model of my main ISP router. I've sent them a reply with the info.

After that I also recieved an email from the customer care team in The netherlands. I was somewhat surprised when I read that 'We cannot do anything with the log file, as these are encrypted and not readable by us' wink

  @PinguinM I am also getting solid red light after update. Rebooted goes to yellow light. Then white light for a min or so then solid red light. Having to downgrade back to 1.5.8. Any updates regarding this?

  @Rich0682 Yes. You will have to downgrade via recovery, see the links in the first post.

Just curious question- do you run your Decos in router or AP mode? For the AP mode, there is obviously a stability problem reported by few people including me, I don't really recommend updating to this specific beta version unless the issue is fixed. There would most probably be no benefits with the constant network disturbances.

  @vmonkey thank you for your reply. I run the deco in AP mode. But for some strange reason after update the virgin router won't let me access the Internet. I have rebooted but still no Internet. I'm in the middle of resetting the hub.

  @Rich0682 Not sure if this helps, but I would proceed as follows: disconnect network cable from the Deco and turn the Deco off. Then restart your router. Connect to your router using ethernet- I would expect internet to work. Then do the downgrade of the Deco and only then connect it back to the original network.

  @centurence

Hi, nice to see you again. Sorry for the delay.

Before you add Deco S4 into the Mesh system of Deco X55, there is a "connection preference" on the Deco APP, right?

Could you please refer to this link to help me submit the Deco APP log:

How to submit Deco APP log

If possible, could you please help me run a simple test:

1. temporarily disconnect the cable between the main Deco X55 and Deco S4.

2. please check whether there is a connection preference under Deco S4 to select the signal source.

Thank you very much and best regards.

@David-TP thank you for your responsiveness. i have temporary disconnected the ethernet backhaul and yes there is connection preference to select the signal source. i may have misunderstood this function, but i was expecting to be able to have my devices connected to the network to choose the connection. please correct me if im wrong
