Force a device to connect to a specific Deco
I have to Decos, 1 on the first floor(livingroom) and one on the second floor(bedroons and office).
I'm working in my office with a Deco about 3m away from me and my macbook is connected to the one on the first floor with a 2.4ghz connection.
My phone is connected to the correct Deco though.
Is there a way for me to force my macbook to the deco on the second floor so it is connected to the 5ghz network?

Hi, Today, I got the beta firmware for Deco M4_V2_1.7.0 that supports connection preference.
Based on the version number, I think it might support other features mentioned here-Understand the Differences Among Deco Firmware Platforms about 1.7.0 but the engineers haven't provided a full release note.
I was wondering whether you might want to try this beta.
Since the version has been 1.7.0, the firmware downgrade would need to be done via firmware recovery(which requires a factory reset.)

I am also using deco m4. I am currenty running firmware version 1.6.2. Could you please send me that beta version or the latest version possible to allow me use of connection preference feature?

Hi, what is the model number and firmware version of your Deco?
Apart from M4_1.7.0 Beta, there is one more for Deco X60_V2.
