Hi, thanks for the feedback, AX53 V1 is not abandoned, even though we are not sure about the ETA, there will be new firmware for it as well, once there is any update, we will inform users on the community.

How about Beta firmware on AX55? Is AX55 abandoned as well? Seems like there's no reply and feedback from TPLink anymore

I don't like the support of their products, other brands like Mikrotik have better support even on older routers. TPLink forgot their routers too fast since they released them and they are not bad products, but the firmware support is poor, no offense, and we doesn't talking about cheapers routers.

  @Kedryn

Hi, could you please provide complete hardware and firmware version of your AX3000 router?

Please also double check the model on the bottom label of the router to find its specific model such as Archer AX3000, Archer AX55 etc. as they are both AX3000 products.

Re:Archer AX53 V1 and Archer AX72 Pro V1 IoT Network Config Lost in AP Mode after Reboot (AX55 also affected)

Hi,

As stated previously in this thread I also have the exact same problem: Wireless IOT network is forgotten and disabled in Access Point Mode after router reboot.

I have tried the suggested fix mentioned earlier - by performing a Factory reset in Router Mode. Reset has been done from the WEB-GUI and also by pressing the reset pin for about 10 sec. In both cases the router returns to default, but after switching it back into Access Point mode the re-entered IOT WiFi settings - it is still disabled and forgotten after the next reboot.

I have 4 x AX55 routers and ALL 4 suffer from this bug!

Model: Archer AX55(EU) Ver: 1.0

Firmware Version: 1.2.6 Build 20231130 rel.36135(4555)

I guess that is general a systemic bug in several firmwares for various TP-Link WiFi routers and since this is a 100% reproduceable issue after a Factory Default and a switch to Access Point Mode it should allready have been addressed in the developement pipeline for the next firmware release for all affected routers - AND have been communicated/acknowledged to every one in this thread!

Please be transparent and inform us about the time-line for a final fix for this issue.

Cheers

Hi, could you please try this beta firmware to see if the issue is resolved?

[Closed] Public Beta for Archer AX55 V1 Supports EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul, DoH&DoT, ECO Mode etc.

Note: the download link is still active.

The beta firmware is also 1.2.6 Build 20231130 but the rel numbers are different, so please check it to ensure the firmware update really works.

Hi,

I upgraded one of my AX55 (in  AP mode) with the suggested Beta:

Firmware Version: 1.2.6 Build 20231130 rel.74059(4555)

Hardware Version: Archer AX55 v1.0

The device now remembers ALL programmed WiFi network settings including the IoT (2.4 & 5Ghz) after reboot :-)

I have not yet done any intense testing of the Beta firmware - just checked that IoT WiFi settings were intact and that the IoT SSID could be seen in a ViStumbler scan after reboot.

Thanks!

What is the time line for the next non-beta release?

Best regards

zEnterHacker

Hi, glad to hear that the beta firmware seems to have solved the issue.

For the official firmware of AX55 V1, CA/TW version has been released, for other EU/US versions etc., no ETA can be given now, but I believe it will be released soon.
