It seems the latest firmware was released 6/2012, not 5 months ago. They have released quite a few more recent versions of the PowerLine utility, the latest just a month or two ago. But none of them fix this problem!
I would have hoped that within the last 21 months TP-Link would be able to make some progress with this.

I have the PA-511KIT. My last conversation with support this week says they will transfer this issue to their R&D department and ask them to fix that in the next utility.
