Hi, Thank you very much for your feedback.
If satellite Deco is connected via an Ethernet cable, it should be on Ethernet Backhaul all the time.
So I wonder whether the Ethernet Backhaul on your Deco is constantly disconnected and reconnected.
Wait for your reply and best regards.

Consider these cases:
1. When Deco is connected through powerline adapters, it'll assume it is on Ethernet backhaul. When powerline link is interrupted, Deco will switch to WiFi. That switching back and forth may happen often, depending on quality of house electrical wiring and what is connected to it.
2. Same for powerline capable Deco such as PX50: when it is on powerline link and loses it, would be nice to know when it switched to WiFi.
3. I have Satellite M5 connected to the rest of the network through MoCA adapter. This type of connection is as reliable as Ethernet, and reported as Ethernet backhaul for that Deco. Yet, if MoCA adapter fails or gets unplugged, M5 will switch to WiFi backhaul and it would be nice to know when it does.
@leotavano provided good feature request, actually, and I can phrase it the following way: "When Satellite Deco that is on Powerline or Ethernet backhaul switches to WiFi backhaul, notify user through Deco app."
Even more broadly: "When Satellite Deco switches to a different backhaul, notify user through Deco app."
Satellite Deco already tracks backhaul change in its logs:
On Ethernet blackhaul, user disconnects Ethernet cable:
Fri Dec 29 08:13:18 2023 daemon.notice awn[1486]: [awnd_eth_handle_neigh:5293]: Ethernet backhaul link down.
...
Fri Dec 29 08:13:47 2023 daemon.notice awn[1486]: [awnd_conn_inspect_status:3358]: WIFI backhaul is connected.
On WiFi blackhaul, user connects Ethernet cable back:
Fri Dec 29 08:14:39 2023 daemon.notice awn[1486]: [awnd_eth_handle_neigh:5340]: Activaing Ethernet backhaul in eth0, disconnect other backhuals.
...
Fri Dec 29 08:14:48 2023 daemon.notice awn[1486]: [awnd_eth_handle_neigh:5365]: Ethernet backhaul is active now.
It would make sense to get two notifications in Deco app: when current backhaul goes down and when new backhaul is established. With time stamp, it'll help to figure how long Satellite was offline when switching backhauls. The frequency of notifications will reflect quality of backhaul link and could help with troubleshooting.
