New Release Archer AX72 V1 New Firmware Supports Configuring HomeShield on Web UI
Hello everyone,
Exciting news! We have made an enhancement to the AX72 V1 firmware.
Previously, HomeShield configuration and management were only available through the Tether App. However, we have listened to your feedback and now introduce the option to configure and manage HomeShield directly on the router's Web UI.
In addition, the new firmware also added Tether App information on the Web UI so that users could download and install Tether App easily to manage the router in a different way.
We highly recommend giving it a try and providing us with your valuable feedback.
To experience this new feature, simply click on "Check for Updates" on your router's web GUI or within the Tether App.
This will allow you to upgrade to the latest firmware version, 1.2.2 Build 20230927.

@Sunshine hi i have found a serious flaw on the new firmware, it seems that it disabled vlan settings after each reboot / power off of the device, please check. I have to set the vlan everytime I reboot the router.

Do you mean the settings on Advanced->Network->IPTV/VLAN will be lost completely and it shows IPTV/VLAN disabled after each reboots?
Please let us know who your ISP is and share with us a backup config file on Advanced->System->Backup&Restore page, we will test with the same config to see if the issue can be reproduced on our end.
By the way, what is the current firmware version of yoru AX72 V1? and is it US version?

No, it just disabled the IPTV/VLAN settings. My settings for IPTV/VLAN is intact. I just need to reenable IPTV/VLAN checkbox every reboots
My ISP is TM-UNIFI MALAYSIA
I have to revert to previous firmware to fix the problem (V1 US VERSION)

I have struggled with parental controls, starting with Archer C3150(EU) and Homecare Parental Controls and in December 2023 i gave up and bought a Archer AX95 with Homeshield Advanced Parental Control with a yearly subscription. One of the reasons was the promised app management functions.
Flexible Bed Time, Time Limits, Off Time, Time Reward,Family time
Blocked Apps*, App Time Limits*, Always Allowed Apps*
SafeSearch*, YouTube Restricted*, Comprehensive Insight
App management functions are set for Q1 2024. SafeSearch and YouTube are supported on most models with HomeShield; others anticipated by Q1 2024.
I have had the subscription for almost a year - with a lot of problems - and right now there is no data in the graphics reports or any data.
And there is no functions like the promised one's that was set for Q1 2024.
So the main questions is. Is there a new firmware for the AX95 that has Homeshield Web UI or Tether App/new firmware with the promised new functions and a stabile parental controls?
I have waited....... been promised fixes - new functions for almost a year with the AX95 - struggled a lot with a C3150 before that and so far I am up and running with a wifi router without real functionality.
Can I hope for a solution before next annual subscription or am I paying for nothing? (should I file a complaint to get my money back?)
