Hi, is there any chance to add support for wired Backhaul to RE505X V1?

  @David-TP I recently purchased an RE605X (V3) and discovered during setup that it does not support Ethernet backhaul. Considering this model is actively listed on TP-Link’s website (and even promoted as new in some EU countries), it’s surprising that such a fundamental feature is missing.

Could you provide any information on when Ethernet backhaul support will be added? It would be helpful to have at least an estimated timeline for this feature.

  @David-TP When will easymesh ethernet backhaul support be added to the RE705X? I just bought this product and was honestly quite surprised that it wasn't supported already. The product documentation should be updated to point out this huge shortcoming until the firmware is upgraded to support it.

  @hwelcher & @mmaicon , see this comment that I wrote in May this year.

In the era of generative artificial intelligence, their lack of committement to adding Ethernet backhaul to the extenders is appalling.

Plus, given TP-Link's very questionable practice of releasing multiple hardware versions of the same products keeping exactly the same product name, which I described in this comment, I wouldn't be surprised if they simply add ethernet backhaul in future new versions of the extenders, instead of adding this functionality to the models already released.

What are your thoughts on this?

Edit: amended the links to my comments.

  @David-TP Please support RE705X.

I purchased the RE330 but found out the ethernet cable only supports 100 m/s. With trust of TP link products, I have purchased RE705X and shockingly realise that RE705X does not support Ethernet Backhaul!! This is huge disappointment. Please help to support the RE705X as honestly I think this is an expected feature.
