Hi,

 

i have just wired together two M5's, how do i know if the Wired backhaul is active (and being given priority), having trouble finding this indication?

You can find this information in Deco app. Example from my Deco app:

 

 

 

In this example, Satellite Office and Satellite Study use Ethernet (wired) backhaul, Satellite Bedroom uses WiFi backhaul.

 

When Deco M5 can use Ethernet backhaul, it is given priority over WiFi backhaul.

Hi, thanks, there was an issue for me. i went from M5 to M5, but the backhaul wasn't active... i changed to M5 to switch, then switch to second M5. took about 20 seconds, but light on switch went green. the deco app now shows Ethernet. maybe it's the cable, that weird thing with networking...straight to crossover thingy LOL thanks for replying.
