Model: UE300C
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.4_R0

Hi,

I have a UE300C RJ45/USB adapter (V2).

Model: ASIX AX88179A USB 3.2 Gen1 to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter
Firmware: 1.0.4_R0
OS: Windows 11

Driver: 2.22.7.0

It works great but the blinking in the dark is super annoying!
Is there any way to configure the adapter to stop blinking?

I am gonna go low-tech for now with a piece of tape :)
Otherwise maybe tp-link folks could work on a driver update with a "LED on/off" option.

Thanks!

  @whatever52

Hi, welcome to the community.

So far, It does not support manually configuring LED on/off the LED. I will more it under feature request section to see whether other users might have the same request.

Thank you very much and best regards.

Hi,

Adding the feature would be great indeed!

While I googled to find a solution yesterday, I found out that I was not the only one with this issue:

Example:

Amazon review from a Canadian customer

Thanks!

Reach out to TP-Link's customer support and inquire if there is any firmware update or driver revision that addresses the LED blinking issue. They might provide information on any available configuration options. Sometimes, the Windows Device Manager provides options to control certain features of hardware devices. Right-click on the adapter in the Device Manager, go to Properties, and explore the available settings tabs to see if there is an option related to LEDs. There are third-party tools available that can control the LEDs of various devices. However, be cautious while using third-party software, as it may not be officially supported and could potentially cause issues. Always download such tools from reputable sources.
