Help!!

My Hikvision CCTV system was installed and running well with Deco X60 concurrently but as X60 was not sufficient for my larger place, I've upgraded to an XE75 Pro.

Did not expect the change of main DECO to affect my entire Hikvision CCTV system. I suspect that the SMART DHCP or self assigned IP settings that override my cameras. My cameras work when I switch off DECO entirely!

I read that we have to set the Decos to router mode (AP) but I tried to connect to XE75pro  to AP MODE but there is no internet.

The internet only works when XE75 pro is in Wifi mode, but CCTVs will be down.

AP Mode, internet and CCTV both down. Arghzzz!!!

I'm totally confused now on how to get BOTH system up and running

Hi, welcome to the community.

What precisely do you mean by "CCTVs will be down", no internet? unable to connect to the new Deco XE75 pro or the WiFi connection is unstable?

When you switched Deco XE75 pro off, did you connect the CCTV cameras back to Deco X60? or the WiFi of the ISP-supplied router?

It seemed like the CCTV cameras used self-assigned IP addresses, it is also suggested to go to Deco APP>More>Advanced>ALN IP to see whether the self-assigned IP addresses are in the same IP range as the LAN IP.

Thank you very much and best regards.

Hi David, Thanks so much for your reply

CCTV will be down, internet is working but CCTV/intercom will not be connected.

My Fibre ONT has 2 ports, Port 1 (1GBps each)  and Port 3 (1GBps each) as i have total 2Gbps subscription in my country.

The Deco Mesh connects to Port 1. It used to be X60 but I replaced it to XE75Pro and thats when the trouble starts.

CCTV and intercoms are connected to Port 3 via a HikVision Router or can be also powered through a TPlink Switch TP-Link TL-SG2428P Jetstream 28-Port Gigabit Smart Switch with 24-Port PoE.

When you switched Deco XE75 pro off, did you connect the CCTV cameras back to Deco X60?<-- no i did not, but when Deco XE75 was restarting i could see the CCTVs/intercom coming back online for a moment.

I have tried to connect the Deco Mesh Xe75pro to the same Port as the HikVision Router but the CCTVs did not come back online too hence i was unable to see " APP>More>Advanced>ALN IP to see whether the self-assigned IP addresses are in the same IP range as the LAN IP".

Hi, Thank you very much for the update.

Since you mentioned there are two ports on the Fibre ONT, is it actually an ONR, a Fiber modem router? Can I have its model number?

(I met once before that a user has activated a secondary connection on his existing ONT which is billed separately. Is it like your case? One for the internet connection on Deco, the other for a CCTV security system only? )

By the way, is the HikVision router the NVR?

Can I have the model number of your HikVision CCTV cameras, like https://www.hikvision.com/en/products/IP-Products/KIT/Wi-Fi-KIT/nk42w0h-1t-wd--d-/

Since the NVR talks with the IP cameras over Wi-Fi, more likely on 2.4GHz, I wonder whether the 2.4GHz of Deco XE75 pro might interfere with the communication which is not supposed to be since Deco X60 didn't.

If possible, you could try to temporarily turn off all the 2.4GHz bands under the Main/Guest/IoT networks.

And are you able to reproduce this issue in a short time?

Wait for your reply and best regards.
