you need to download the FW according to your model and Version
connect your deco via web browser and select your FW and hit the upgrade button.
good luck ;)

The downgrade has to be done via web browser. First you need to obtain the correct firmware:
1. Determine your correct Deco X60 version by looking at the bottom of your Deco.
2. Go to: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/deco-x60/ and ENSURE you select and download the appropriate firmware for your Deco X60 model. (In my case it was v2.6). The firmware may be compressed into a zip file. If so, unZip it. It is the .BIN file that you will need.
3. Access your Deco’s web interface by typing its IP address in your browser’s address bar and press “enter” (usually something like 192.168.0.1 - you can get this from the Deco APP in ADVANCED/LAN IP). When prompted for a password use the same password that you access your TP-Link account with.
4. Go to Advanced / System / Firmware Upgrade in your browser and choose the file that you uploaded. It should download then reboot. Don’t interrupt the process if at all possible as it could "brick" your deco. In my case the wholeprocess took about 5-10 minutes or so.
Here is some of TP-Link’s info on this…. Method 2 is what x60 requires.

Good Luck!

@shaylami I am having the same issues since this upgrade.
Networking works, but wifi will not allow a connect and has to be rebooted.
Tired reassigning main deco, just one deco, etc!

Hi, sorry for the delay.
I see you have downgraded from 1.5.2 to 1.5.1. Did the 1.5.1 help improve the connection?
Have you tried to turn off "Fast roaming" and "Beamforming" as well as "Mesh Technology" for the smart home devices?
I have sent you a beta firmware for Deco X60_V2 and you could try to install it first and check whether it helped a little bit.
Thank you very much and best regards.

Hi,

i will try out the version you sent me and update with the result.
thanks.

@shaylami is there an update I could also get because I rolled back my deck. It was as well, and it solved the nonstop aggravating disconnects. I do know that I still run into a problem though I'm sure as I used to have that when trying to download every now and then I'd have to reboot a Deco, because the downloads would fail almost as soon as they started. This could be computer, downloads, phone downloads, or even trying to download a game on to an Xbox or PlayStation.
I would love to have that file the

Just want to add a datapoint: I had the same issue with my Dec X60 and down-grading to 1.5.1 following the instruction in comment#13 seems to fix the issue.

Has anyone who had this problem tried the recently released 1.5.3 firmware? My network was pretty unstable on 1.5.2 as well.
