This Article Applies to:
Deco X73-DSL_V1,Deco PX50_V1, Deco X50_V1
Issue Description:
Some users reported that, when connecting to Deco, devices that use the Zscaler VPN service, are close to unusable. For example, With the Zscaler VPN connected, the laptop only got 2-6mbps upload and the upload traffic is often blocked out or timed out. While without Zscaler, the laptop is able to get 400-800mbps Upload.
Possible Suggestions:
1. Please confirm the Zscaler VPN client utility is up-to-date.
2. If there is already an ISP-supplied router, please temporarily set Deco in Access Point mode.

Hi David
Given that it's taking so long to get a production fix for this problem, can you tell us a bit more about this workaround? What functionality is disabled? What security risks are associated with it?
Also can you give us some indication as to when we can move to the mainstream firmware?

Go to your IT department and ask them to create a profile for people with problems using TLS instead of DTLS.
They should assign you the new profile > start Zscaler > update policy > no more problems :)

@HRT1337 Do you have any details of this? I haven't seen any technical details of what the problem is, or what the workaround in the temporary firmware does.
The fact that there are so few details is not great...

@David-TP
Hi!
Will there be an update for Deco X50 V1.2?
I'm having trouble with working when Zscaler is on and currently cannot be turned off (company policy).
Is there any workaround other than switching router to your competition?

It looks like the new production X73 firmware has a fix for this issue. I'm no longer in a job so am not using Zscaler, but hopefully this is the fix people havr been waiting for...

@David-TP I'm experiencing this issue as well, my mesh is made up of one X90 (Main Deco) and then another X90 + two X20s in the mesh
The X90s are on 1.2.6 and the X20s are on 1.2.0
Is there any beta firmware available for these models? Thanks

What has happened to all the beta firmware links. The version 1.5.0 firmware for the X50 V1 was linked here as a beta, but it has gone now and the official firmware available is still the old version 1.4.1?

Hey hopefully you can help :)
I am experiencing the exact same issue with zscaler on a omada ER605 using latest firmware. Works fine with an alternative router on the same connection. Could this be caused by the same.issue experienced on the Deco series?
