Hello, everyone!

Could you help me with a question? I have at home a kit with 3 Deco M5 routers. My modem is from TIM Live, and the contracted speed is 1Gb. However, I do not receive that on my devices (MacBook Pro 16”M1, iPad Pro M1, iPhone 14Pro, iPhone 13Pro, Notebook with Windows 11), even connected to the 5GHz network.

But, when I run the speed test on the Deco app, I am informed that I receive most of the time, more than 800Mb of download, which is very close to the speed I contract.

Do you know what happens? Why does it happen? Why doesn’t Deco deliver the contracted speed (or something close to it) since my devices support even wi-fi6E/MIMO.

Is there any way to fix this?

In advance I anticipate that:

- I have already performed network optimization through the app;
- The bandwidth is not limited at the moment;
- QoS is disabled.

I appreciate it in advance.

Hi, welcome to the community.

May I know how much 5 GHz wireless speed you could get from Deco on mobile devices?

For Deco M5, its maximum link speed is:

5 GHz: 867 Mbps (802.11ac)
2.4 GHz: 400 Mbps (802.11n)

The expected internet download speed you could get from 5 GHz would be 350m/s--600m/s. So if the whole internet bandwidth is about 1G service, and there are also wi-fi6E devices, maybe you could consider updating Deco to our WiFi 6/6E models, like Deco X50/XE75.
