Cannot update Archer A8

Hi,
Im currently having issues manually updating. showing this error "Failed to update the firmware. Please check the configuration file and try again"
Tried it both via wired and wireless connection, still the same

Hi, what is the current firmware version of your A8 V1? and which firmware are you trying to update?

@Sunshine I have the exact same issue. My router had an update available a few months ago and I clicked the "UPDATE" button.
Under Advanced -> System -> Firmware Update -> Firmware Version it shows 1.13.1 Build 230609 Rel. 32076n(5553)
Hardware Version: Archer A8 1.0
I attempted to flash it with the latest file on the TP-Link site, the 1.12, Build 230208 file since the "UPDATE" button pulled the wrong file. I get the same error message as OP.

Hi,
Firmware version 1.13.1 is the newest version that is available for the Archer A8 V1.
Trying to install version 1.12 would be a major downgrade, which the router doesn't allow.
If version 1.12 is the newest firmware that is shown on your country's local TP-Link website, then it just means that particular regional website hasn't been updated with the latest information yet.
