Archer C80 Disconnect iPhones
Hello
I urgently need help with my WiFi router
so I'm using Archer C80 and I'm having trouble with iPhones as soon I lock my iPhone it gets disconnects from tp link while someone FaceTime me or WhatsApp me it stays on single ticks for 5 to 9 minutes or until I unlock the iPhone
android phones working perfect
please tell me how to fix this issue

1. What is the firmware version of your Archer C80 V1?
2. You mean WiFi will be disconnected once you lock the iPhone screen, and there is no ring on your end when someone FaceTime/WhatsApp you, right?
3. Is your Archer C80 working on Router mode or AP mode? please try disabling smart connect, then change WiFi channel and channel width to see if it helps.
4. If you connect the iPhone to any other WiFi network, is there any similar issue?
5. What is the model no. of your iPhone?

it's the latest update last one
V1 1.13.2 Build 230824 Rel.74702n(5553)
it's working as router it's connected with the ONU device it's a fiber optical connection
it's only happening on iPhones
it's iPhone 14 pro max
and other one is iPhone X
as I lock the screen or phone goes to sleep mode
if someone calls me on WhatsApp FaceTime or iMessage or even Snapchat I don't get it until I unlock the screen or sometimes it connects automatically with router n it says 5 mins ago 9 mins ago
I don't know how to fix it I've done everything even setup as new iPhone
I connect the phones with other network they work perfect as it should even when it's locked or sleep mode I get calls and messages

I'm having same issue for so long I've tried everything I could but the issue is with the router itself not the iPhones or macs it's more like compatibility issue there is no fix as yet @souzaeric

Hi, is your router Archer C80 V1 as well? If not, please let us know the model no., hardware and firmware version of your router.
And did you test any other router WiFi via the same iPhones?

@Sunshine @Sheikh7777 My Firmware is 1.13.2 and version 2.20
I think I've identified the issue. I was reading about the option marked SHORT GI on my router, and read this: "Frame aggregation allows the sending of multiple frames in a single transmission, but use it carefully: this can cause compatibility issues with Apple products. "
So I dismarked this option and now my iphone stays connected when I lock the screen.
This option is on Wireless -- Additional Settings
