Deco X50-5G loses internet connection
Hi!
About a month ago I bought a Deco X50-5G mesh router.
I get great connection and speed up to 400-500Mbit/s certain times in the day. Most often about 50-170Mbit/s. I love it!
But a couple of times each day (often 1-3 times a day) it loses the internet connection. after a reboot it works again.
I have the same mobile internet on my and my wifes phones, and they work. So it should not be any problem with the operator (Telia, Sweden).
We have 2 external antennas to boost the coverage.
What could be wrong?
Best Regards
Niklas

@thelinkuser What's your RSRP, RSRQ & SINR?
Did you make those changes I mention before?
App > More > Internet: "5G Preferred" / A fixed "Band" / and manualy selected "Carrier"?
Change everything that was using the "Auto" option.

@thelinkuser, @Andy-Wood Like I said before, in the app: More > Internet.
If you scroll down, at the end, you will find the values of RSRP, RSRQ & SINR. Share those values.
If you press options, such as: "Band" or "Carrier" you'll see if you have it in "Auto" or not.
Also, see if you have it with "5G Preferred".

You do understand that this topic is about a modem/router, from TP-Link: X50-5G; right?
Not 5Ghz as in WiFi band, or mesh.

Now I have this problems with my Deco lost Connection. It's not possible to Reconnect so I have to Turn at of Manually
It's very necessary to have a schedule Restart in the App.

@BastianZH The X50-5G does have a reboot schedule in the app, like I mention before:
"In the Deco's app, press More, scroll down and press System. There you'll find the option Reboot Schedule. Turn it on, pick every day & time."

Hi,
Is everybdoy getting this issue using a 5G sim card modem?
I have a ZTE 5G CPE MC801A, and get intermittent outages as well as file tranfer errors accross the network.
I've got an older deco M4 connected directly to the modem also and it doesn't disconnect at the same time. It's a completely seperate wifi networik.
i've now sarted monitoring on home assistant which is connected to the main deco via etherent. All my decos PoE are connected via a PoE switch, I have three X50 PoE and one X50 PoE outdoor.

Like I've been saying. 4G-5G (LTE) devices need a daily reboot. Even our phones do it, so they can strengthen the mobile signal depending on the antenna they're using.
If you can access the ZTE WebUI, try to find the option of an automatic reboot - daily. I, usually, do mine at 4am/04:00.
Worst case scenario you can use the HACS integration, that allows the ZTE MC801A to connect with HA.
From what I can see you have a switch to reboot the router. Simply create an automation, with time as trigger, and see if the connection - during a period of time - becomes more stable after that.
