Hi,

Do you know what channel your 5 GHz wireless network is broadcasting on?

Have you already tried to change the channel on the router to 36, like was suggested in the thread you've linked to?

Do you have any other devices that are able to see and connect to your 5 GHz network?

If yes, then you may find out the operating channel on a device that is currently connected to the 5 GHz network.

If you are not able to access the router to change the channel, then maybe test whether the following workaround works for you or not.

1) Change the "Country or region" setting of Windows to a country where all 5 GHz channels from 36 to 165 are supported, for example the United States.
2) Open the Windows "Device Manager" and "Uninstall" the device that resembles your Archer T4U. (look inside the section "Network adapters" for a device called something like "TP-Link Wireless USB Adapter" or "Realtek wireless LAN USB ...")
3) Click the icon "Scan for hardware changes" and Windows should re-install the Archer T4U automatically
4) Check if your computer can now see your 5 GHz wireless network or not. (it may take a little while before all nearby networks are shown)
5) Change the "Country or region" setting back to what it originally was.
