Model: Archer VR2800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Latest

I have just applied the latest firmware update, and now my password is not being recognised. I have read that some other models had the password truncated to 15 characters after an update, however, tried that without success.

I don't want to do a factory reset, any ideas?

  For information, I managed to log in, it seems that the update had resultid in my password being truncated to 10 characters! So have logged back in and sorted password!

  @David_44

Unfortunately this may be your only option now. There's nothing wrong resetting the device to its factory defaults.

Sometimes this is necessary when new features are implemented through a FW upgrade, the device is malfunctioning or has been misconfigured.
