Hi,
I used to have a router provided by my ISP which lacked functionality but always gave me steady 1000Mbps download speed, I have replaced it with M5 which I use as a router, since then I'm only getting about 700Mbps.

Some pointers:

No QOS is enabled (but bandwidth is set to 1024Mbps).
UPNP is disabled.
Short CAT6 ethernet cable connected directly to my PC.
The Deco gets its internet from fiber to ethernet converter.
Same config with previous router resulted in better speeds.

I love the Deco app and the mesh functionality, I wouldn't want to trade the Deco for a different router but so far I'm getting less than I paid for.

Can anyone assist?

Hi,

Here are some suggestions for your reference:

1. Change a different speedtest server when testing the speed.

2. Clone the MAC address of the old router on Deco.---How to Configure MAC Clone on Deco

3. Have you used the built-in "Test internet speed" on the Deco APP to check the current internet bandwidth?

And May I know your internet service provider? Did it require a specific MTU size? I used to see feedback that the inappropriate MTU side might hinder the network speed.
