Hello

 

I have a Deco M4 mesh set up and recently tried to connect my nest hello wired doorbell. The WiFi connection keeps dropping out and shows the camera as offline. All of my other products work fine. I've tried port forwarding and address reservation. The doorbell works fine when I use my mobile as a hotspot but this isn't practical. Any other suggestions?

Hi, here are some suggestions for your reference:

1. Turn off "Mesh Technology" under devices settings on the Deco APP.

2. Disable "beamforming" under Deco APP>More>Advanced.

3. Set connection preference to the nearest Deco and choose the 2.4 GHz band.

How to select a preferred signal source on the Deco App

Thanks for your reply. I can't see the beam forming option on my deco app. I've checked and my app is up to date.

Hi, Normally Beamforming is just under Fast Roaming and if you can not see it, I wonder if it might not support it.

But don't worry, have you tried other suggestions?

If none of them helped, Could you please send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com with the following information:

1. How often would the doorbell usually drop the connection?

2. Could you please set up connection alerts on the Deco APP? It could help record the online and offline time of the Nest doorbell. After that, please refer to this link to help me submit the Deco APP log:
