Why can't I get kitchen to show as ethetnet connected like others when it is?

This may be one of two things:
1) Hardware issue with Kitchen Deco Ethernet ports, or with Ethernet cable it is connected to;
2) The way you wired Kitchen Deco does not let it use Ethernet backhaul, so it switches to WiFi backhaul. See this document: General questions about Ethernet Backhaul feature on your Deco
Also, run the following test: swap Kitchen and Office Deco units. If after that Office Deco can't use Ethernet, but Kitchen Deco does - that would eliminate Kitchen Deco hardware issues.
