WiFi light 9n Re505x
The WiFi light on my RE505x does not light up. I am using it as an access point, and devices in the room seem to connect to the internet with no issues despite the WiFi light being off.
When I press the button on the side, the WiFi light blinks and then switches off.
Is this normal or the sign off an issue with the device?

That's not normal. The WiFi LED needs to be ON according to the User Guide as stated below:
You can reset the extender and reconfigure it by going through the QS once again or using the WPS button. If still fails, check the suggestions provided in this FAQ.
Sorry, my bad. According to the User Guide, the Signal LED is off after a successful WPS connection is built up. Did you press the WPS button to establish a connection between the extender and a client device?

@Liverpool20 no I didn't. I just set it up as an access point. WiFi seems to be ok, but no light. Whe I press the WPS button it blinks for a while and then goes off.
It seems to work, but I don't want to leave an issue to fester until the returns period is over.

There is another way to check whether the extender works or not. You can try turning off the main router when there is no one on the network, then test to see if you are still connecting to the RE505X wireless network. If its wireless network is still broadcasting and you can still connect to it, that means it is working.

@Liverpool20 the network works fine. Might try it as an extender over the weekend and see if the light behaves any differently.
